Manchester City Council Meeting Recap

Council Approves Police Officer Safety Plan, Manchester Locker Development Agreement

The Manchester City Council met Monday night.

The Council also approved a 10-year Police Officer Safety Plan T10 proposal from Axon Enterprise at a cost of around $76,000 per year. Manchester City Manager Brock Waters explains:

The Council approved a development agreement with the Manchester Locker, a new custom meat processing and retail facility coming to Manchester. Last fall, Todd Summers, who owns and operates the locker in Earlville, submitted a site plan to the City of Manchester. The new locker will be located in Manchester’s industrial park at the intersection of South 5th Street and Enterprise Drive, across the street from Three Rivers FS and Innovative Ag. The City’s development agreement authorizes annual appropriation tax increment payments and pledging certain tax increment revenues to the payment of the agreement. The Council held a public hearing on the agreement at Monday night’s meeting, with no comments from the public.
