Street Work to Begin in Downtown Manchester

River City Paving will begin milling work on Wednesday as part of the Main and Madison Street project in downtown Manchester.
The City notes that after milling is complete, Main Street will re-open and remain open through Ridiculous Days activities and sales.
Milling will begin at the corner of Main Street and Franklin Street and continue east to the intersection of Main Street and Tama Street.
The following areas will be closed during milling operations:
• The 100 and 200 blocks of Main Street
• The intersection of Main Street and Madison Street
Traffic will continue to travel normally on Franklin Street and Tama Street, and sidewalks will remain open to help limit interruptions for Main Street businesses and pedestrians.
Asphalt paving is currently scheduled for Monday, June 29th (weather permitting).
The City says all work is weather dependent and schedules may change.
