Georgia Kay Jones – Strawberry Point

Georgia Kay Jones, 78, of Strawberry Point, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Mercy Medical Center in
Cedar Rapids. She was born on February 27, 1948, in Manchester, the daughter of Harold and Velva (Pohlman)
Moorman. She was raised and educated in Manchester and graduated from West Delaware.

On June 10, 1976, Georgia was united in marriage to Robin Jones and three children were born to this union. She
worked at G & G Living Center and Imagine the Possibilities in Guttenberg for many years. Georgia enjoyed
watching her favorite TV shows.

Survivors include her children Kelly Jones of Strawberry Point, Danielle (Justin O’Hara) Wright of Cedar Rapids,
and Brittani (Charles) McDowell of Strawberry Point; 10 grandchildren, Nick, Matthew, Christopher, Elizabeth and
Allison Jones, Brianna and Brody Wright, and Jordan, Piper and Chloe McDowell; two great-grandchildren Oliver
and Harmony; sister-in-law Sandy Moorman of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robin; son Jordan Jones in infancy; sister Janice Irons;
and brothers Bruce Moorman, Roger Moorman and Daryl (Sandra) Moorman.
