Beckman Catholic High School Renovating Turf/Track Complex

Beckman Catholic High School in Dyersville has started renovating their turf/track complex.

Principal Marcel Kielkucki says the project is part of the school’s capital campaign.

Right now, the football field is bare – with the turf rolled up and sitting in the school parking lot. This week, the old turf is available to school families and supporters – and starting Monday, it will be available to anyone.

He says a piece of the old turf could also be a neat keepsake for Beckman alumni and athletes who played on the field.

Crews will begin to put in the new turf over the next few weeks and, once the turf is finished, they will work on resurfacing the track. Since it is currently a work zone, the Beckman Catholic turf/track complex is closed to the public right now – that includes those who use the track for walking.

Kielkucki says the finished project will look similar to the old football field/track.

The turf/track complex renovation is one of three projects Beckman Catholic has been working on as part of their capital campaign.

Kielkucki says they appreciate everyone who has donated to Beckman Catholic’s capital campaign. If you’d still like to make a contribution, you can reach out to the school office. They’re currently sitting at over $8.89 million – very close to their $9 million stretch goal.
