KMCH SPORTS: Results from Thursday night 6/25

BASEBALL-

The West Delaware Hawks traveled to Grinnell and were swept by the Tigers, 11-1 in 5 innings and 5-2.

East Buchanan topped Midland 13-4.

Maquoketa Valley shutout Easton Valley 10-0.

North Linn blanked Clinton Prince of Peace 15-0.

Starmont defeated Lisbon 15-5.

Beckman Catholic took two from Anamosa 6-2 and 5-2.

Monticello was roughed up by Northeast 20-7 and 11-0.

SOFTBALL-

East Buchanan swiped two from Midland 11-10 and 11-3.

Starmont fell to Lisbon 14-2 and 8-4

Postseason regional pairings were announced by the IGHSAU yesterday afternoon:

First round games for 1A/2A will take place on Monday, July 6th with second round on the 8th, semifinals the 10th and Regional Finals on the 13th. Class 3A and 4A starts on the 9th, with semifinals on the 11th and finals the 14th.

3A-

West Delaware will open up with Camanche at Sill Field.

Monticello heads to Alburnett.

Anamosa entertains Wilton

2A-

Maquoketa Valley welcomes in Postville. The winner plays at Beckman Catholic who has a first round bye.

Cascade will face Northeast.

1A-

East Buchanan on the road at Easton Valley. With North Linn hosting that winner.

Ed-Co will host the winner of Midland and Clayton Ridge.

Starmont gets the winner of Saint Ansgar and North Iowa.

4A-

Independence hosts Decorah with that winner playing at Western Dubuque.
