KMCH SPORTS: Postseason Baseball/Softball Results and Preview

The start of the summer sports postseason began on Friday night with Class 2A and 1A first round Baseball District contests. In 2A, Anamosa took down MFL-MarMac 15-5 in 5 innings. Th Blue Raiders move on to face Union Community on Tuesday in Cascade at 5:30pm.

In 1A, Ed-Co closed out their season in a 4-0 loss to Starmont. Two coverage area games did not get played as Maquoketa hosting Clinton Prince of Peace will start at 7pm after Lisbon faces North Cedar in Delhi. In 2A, Monticello will be in Wellman playing Mid-Prairie at 7pm.

The softball journey to the state tournament begins tonight with Class 1A and 2A first round regional quarterfinals. In 2A, our coverage area game of the night is from Delhi as Maquoketa Valley entertains Postville. Bill Logan will be on-air around 7pm. In 1A, East Buchanan travels to Preston to face Easton Valley.
