Delaware County Assessor’s Office Conducting County-Wide Reappraisal Project

Starting this summer, the Delaware County Assessor’s office will be conducting a county-wide reappraisal project.
This will be a 10 to 12 year-long project where in-house appraisers will be completing two townships a year. This year’s townships are Prairie and Adams – property owners in these townships should be receiving a postcard regarding this project.
Appraisers will be visiting properties to gather, update, and verify property information – and conduct inspections if the homeowner chooses. Appraisers will have photo identification and will be in county vehicles. Office hours will be Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm and appointments are available upon request by calling 927-2526.
If you are a resident or property owner in the Prairie and Adams townships and want to know more about this project, please check out the county website at delawarecounty.iowa.gov/assessor/. You can find staff photos, project information, property owner rights and responsibilities, as well as an online fillable form to submit details about your home.
The Delaware County Assessor’s office says the staff thanks you for your time and assistance as they work towards providing fair and equitable assessments throughout the county.
