KMCH SPORTS: Results from Tuesday 7/7

Postseason Baseball resumed with Class 1A and 2A District Semifinals last night.

In 1A-

Maquoketa Valley topped Lisbon 13-4 to advance to their District Final @ North Linn on Saturday night. The Lynx beat Calamus-Wheatland 12-1 in 5 innings. East Buchanan held off Midland 1-0. The Bucs will host Janesville on Saturday night. Starmont defeated Clayton Ridge 9-2. The Stars will go up against South Winn.

In 2A-

Anamosa snuck past Union Community 4-3 in 9 innings. The Blue Raiders will be back in Cascade to face the 5th-ranked Cougars as they shutout Tipton 7-0. Beckman Catholic 10-runned Oelwein 12-2 in 5innings. The Blazers will entertain Waterloo Columbus Catholic.

In regular season action-

West Delaware lost to Central DeWitt on the road 4-0 and 11-4.

Independence swept Center Point-Urbana 15-3 and 12-1.

Tonight Softball regional play resumes with quarterfinal contests starting at 7pm.

Our featured games will come from Colesburg and Dyersville. Ed-Co meets Midland in 1A Region 3, Bill Logan will have the call on MIX 94.7, kmch.com and the KMCH App beginning around 6:50pm. Beckman Catholic hosts Maquoketa Valley in 2A region 7, Sports Director Jon Swisher will have that online at kmch.com starting at 6:55pm.

Also in 1A, North Linn hosts Easton Valley and Starmont has Saint Ansgar at home.

In 2A, Cascade has Northeast at home.
