A Colesburg woman was airlifted to the hospital after she was run over on Thursday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol says a 59-year woman was run over by a SUV in the front yard of 420 South Franklin Street in Colesburg shortly after 3:30 pm. The SUV was driven by a 14-year old male.
The woman was transported to Regional Medical Center in Manchester, where she was then airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City with serious injuries.
Authorities have not released the names of those involved in the accident.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Colesburg Ambulance and Earlville Ambulance.
