Delaware County Fair has two new faces who will be representing them as royalty over the next year.
Kate Ries of Ryan, who will be a senior at West Delaware this fall, was crowned the 2026 Delaware County Fair Queen on Friday night.
Natalie Ries of Earlville, who will be a senior at Maquoketa Valley this fall, was crowned the 2026 Delaware County Fair Princess.
Only two candidates competed for royalty this year, following in the footsteps of the 2025 Delaware County Fair Queen Holly Gudenkauf and Fair Princess Ashlyn Kruse. Kate will represent Delaware County at the Iowa State Fair Queen Contest in August.
