KMCH SPORTS: Preview for Day 1 of State Softball and Baseball

Five of our seven KMCH Sports coverage area teams will be in action on day one of the State Softball and Baseball tournaments.

In SOFTBALL-

27-10 Ed-Co plays their 1A quarterfinal at Noon as the 8th-seed facing the top-seed Exira-EHK-Audubon who has a record of 23-4. Bill Logan will have the call starting at 11:50am on MIX 94.7, kmch.com and the KMCH App.

In 4A, the Bobcats of Western Dubuque are the 4-seed with a 32-8 mark as they will take on 5-seed 24-13 Winterset. That game is set for a 12:45pm first pitch. Bill will have updates from that game during our Ed-Co coverage.

In 3A, West Delaware is the 7-seed at 25-11 while 35-6 Dubuque Wahlert Catholic is the 2-seed. Bill will have that game live on-air around 3:45pm.

In BASEBALL-

Class 3A in Cedar Rapids will host #5 Western Dubuque who is 24-14 and No. 4 North Polk at 27-7. Bill will have updates from that game during our Ed-Co coverage.

In 1A, 24-6 North Linn is the 5-seed and will play #4 Remsen St. Mary’s at 21-6. The Lynx will play at 4:30pm and can be heard online at kmch.com and the KMCH Sports2 App then will be joined in progress on-air.
