The Great Jones County Fair officially kicks off in Monticello today for the “Five Best Days of Summer”.
The fair is known for bringing in some of country music’s biggest acts each and every year – and this year is no exception. Abby Jaeger says are thrilled to welcome Megan Moroney on Friday night.
Bailey Zimmerman takes the stage on Thursday night, with Riley Green headlining on Saturday night – and Gary Allan will play his hits on Sunday night.
The Great Jones County Fair is also known for its food fest, with dozens of vendors to choose from.
The fair actually gets an early start every year on Tuesday night as they crown new royalty. Outgoing 2025 Fair Queen Brooke Heying, a recent graduate of Anamosa High School, says the thing she enjoys most about the Great Jones County Fair is all the interactions with people during fair week.
Congratulations to the new 2026 Great Jones County Fair Royalty crowned last night – Queen Emma Dietsch, Princess Dani Gravel and Miss Congeniality Landri Hansen.
