KMCH SPORTS: Results from Day 3 of State Softball and Baseball

Day 3 of high school state softball and baseball yesterday.

SOFTBALL-

The Ed-Co Vikings continued to shine as they upended the top seed Exira-EHK-Audubon again to advance to the 1A championship contest on Friday afternoon at 2:30. The Vikings won 5-0 as Clarksville clipped St. Edmond’s 6-5. Those two winners will meet to decide who gets the crown in Class 1A.

Western Dubuque finished their season at 34-10 with a 7-0 loss to ADM-Adel yesterday afternoon. The Bobcats say goodbye to 7 seniors.

BASEBALL-

The North Linn Lynx closed out their campaign with a hard fought 5-2 loss to Moravia in the Class 1A semifinals out in Carroll. The Lynx end up at 25-7 with no seniors to say goodbye to.

This afternoon, #4 Cascade with a mark of 28-1 goes up against 33-1 #1 Pleasantville in the first Class 2A semifinal in Carroll. Sports Director Jon Swisher will have all the coverage starting at 4:20pm on MIX 94.7, kmch.com and the KMCH App.
