RAGBRAI Day for Manchester & Delaware County

RAGBRAI is moving through Manchester and Delaware County today.
The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa spent the night in Independence last night – with the bikes on the road now heading to Winthrop, Manchester and Earlville before ending the day in Dyersville for their final overnight stop of this year’s ride.
Manchester Chamber Director Laura Holtz, who has helped lead the RAGBRAI efforts in the community over these past few months, says they are excited to welcome today’s riders and show the best of Manchester.
It’s been 16 years – 2010 – since RAGBRAI last came to Manchester. The week before, Manchester had experienced a historic flood – which still holds the record – and Lake Delhi was hit with catastrophic floodwaters breaching the dam. Mayor Connie Behnken says it was a very difficult time for the greater Delaware County community – and RAGBRAI was there to show their support.
Manchester officials are excited to welcome RAGBRAI back.
And the Chamber says many of Manchester’s businesses are looking forward to the opportunity too, with in-store specials and some choosing to be vendors offering food, drinks and other shopping in the heart of the downtown out on East Main Street – and residents are welcome to enjoy those things too.
Again, check out the list of vendors and the vendor map on the official Manchester RAGBRAI landing page at https://kmch.com/manchester-ragbrai-2026/ – and the Manchester RAGBRAI Facebook page has a post inviting local businesses and organizations to promote some of the things they’re offering today too.
