Gray Announces Resignation from Manchester City Council

One of Manchester’s city council members announced his resignation at Monday night’s meeting.
Bryan Gray read a short paragraph at the end of the meeting, sharing that he was submitting his resignation – effective immediately – due to health reasons outside of his control.
Gray’s announcement was met with “thank you’s” and appreciation from Mayor Connie Behnken and his fellow council members, who showed him their support with hugs and handshakes after the meeting ended. Gray, a local business owner, was first elected to the Manchester City Council in November 2023 and was currently serving his second term after being re-elected last fall. Manchester City Manager Brock Waters commented on Gray’s resignation during his appearance on our “Guest of the Day” segment on Tuesday.
Gray represented the City At-Large, which means his seat is open to anyone within the Manchester city limits. If you are interested in filling his vacancy, please feel free to reach out to City Manager Brock Waters at Manchester City Hall.
