Regardless of who wins in November, Delaware County and the rest of Iowa’s Second Congressional District will have someone new representing them in Congress next year.
With Ashley Hinson running for Joni Ernst’s U.S. Senate seat, her seat in Congress is up for grabs – with Democrat Lindsay James and Republican Joe Mitchell vying for the chance to serve.
Joe Mitchell was recently in Manchester to visit a couple of local businesses, including A-1 Mobile Storage and the Camp Courageous Manchester Garage Sale. Mitchell says he is a born and raised Iowan who is focused on putting Iowa first.
Mitchell tells KMCH he has several priorities if he’s elected to Congress in November.
As a homebuilder, Mitchell says he also wants to help homeownership become a reality for more people.
Mitchell feels like he’s getting a good response from Iowans ahead of the November general election.
