Linn County Conservation Campgrounds Moving to Full Online Reservation System in 2027

Linn County Conservation campgrounds are transitioning to a fully online reservation system next year.
2026 will mark the end of first-come, first-served camping areas where payment has been made by cash or check. That includes the popular campgrounds at Pinicon Ridge, Wanatee, Morgan Creek, and Buffalo Creek Parks.
The Linn County Conservation Board approved the change for a fully online system earlier this year, following extensive study by staff of the evolving camping trends and preferences. Over seventy campsites have currently been using Linn County’s reservation system (through MyCountyParks.com). With the change, over 300 campsites, including primitive and group camps, will now be included with the system.
Linn County Conservation says the online reservations for camping provide current campsite availability, giving campers greater confidence as they plan their trips. It also makes it possible to reserve a site remotely, eliminating the need to drive out with a camping unit just to secure a spot. The process also removes cash handling and partial payments, reducing returned (bad) checks and checking errors while creating a fully cashless, more efficient experience for both campers and Linn County staff.
Campgrounds can now be reserved for the 2027 season within one year in advance from the date of booking. Modern campsites with water, electricity, and sewer (where applicable) are open April 15th through October 15th.
