DelCo Ag Raises $5,000 for Operation Santa Claus During Manchester RAGBRAI

As RAGBRAI riders passed through Manchester, DelCo Ag hosted a community food stand that united local volunteers, commodity groups, and businesses — ultimately raising $5,000 to support Operation Santa Claus.

Volunteers from DelCo Ag, Operation Santa Claus, GNB Bank, Delaware County Farm Bureau, the Delaware County Pork Grill Team, and the Delaware County Cattlemen worked together throughout the day, with all proceeds helping fill a funding gap for Operation Santa Claus, a 44-year old 501(c)(3) organization that relies on annual contributions to support its holiday program.

In 2025, Operation Santa Claus provided coats, boots, shoes, snow pants, essential clothing, and toys to 329 children in Delaware County — a 20% increase from the prior year. The program ensures families facing hardship can still experience a meaningful and supportive holiday season.

Local commodity groups have long partnered in this effort, consistently donating beef, pork, and dairy products to help families prepare healthy, nutritious meals during the holidays. Their continued involvement highlights the strength and generosity of Delaware County’s agricultural community.

“RAGBRAI brought incredible energy to Manchester, and our volunteers stepped up in a big way,” said board member, Tammy Eibey. “This donation will make a real difference for local families this Christmas.”
