The State Fire Convention is coming to Manchester this year – September 8th through the 13th – with firefighters from across the state gathering for a week of contests, celebrations and camaraderie.
And Edgewood will be hosting a bus tour during the big event to transport people back and forth from Manchester to Edgewood.
The bus tour will take place Wednesday, September 9th from 10:30 am to 3 pm, with buses leaving Manchester on the half hour and Edgewood on the hour.
Edgewood Chamber Director Elise Bergan says they’re looking for volunteers to help transport attendees around Edgewood using side-by-sides, golf carts or vehicles so they can visit local shops, businesses, and restaurants while enjoying a personalized tour of Edgewood.
They’re looking for people who:
- enjoy meeting new people
- want to showcase everything Edgewood has to offer
- are willing to transport attendees around town
You do not need to volunteer all day – you can help whenever you’re available. Volunteers will be asked to meet Elise at the fire station, or Elise can contact volunteers on an as-needed basis throughout the day.
