GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY-
In Oelwein at the Hickory Grove Golf Course, 13 teams placed. Maquoketa Valley won the varsity race with 46 points, Decorah was 2nd with 57. Sixth was West Delaware with 172, 7th was Ed-Co with 198, Cascade 9th with 205, Beckman 12th with 302. Eighth grader Josalyn Burlage finished 2nd with a 20:06, 4th was Ed-Co sophomore Josie Diers with a 20:13.42, Maquoketa Valley junior Audra Burbridge 5th with a 20:26.
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY-
Decorah won it with 27 points. West Delaware was 5th with 147, Beckman Catholic 7th with 204, North Linn 9th with 247, Cascade 11th with 288, Ed-Co 14th with 331. West Delaware sophomore Nolan Hemann was 13th with a 18:38.
VOLLEYBALL-
North Linn lost to Hudson, Alburnett and Cascade 2-0.
Western Dubuque topped Linn-Mar 3-1.
Maquoketa Valley was blanked by North Fayette-Valley 3-0.
Independence defeated Vinton-Shellsburg 2-0.
