Starmont and Buchanan County Honor Guard Partner for 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

Starmont students and staff gathered Friday, September 11, for a special 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony presented by the Buchanan County Honor Guard.
The ceremony honored the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, along with the firefighters, law enforcement officers, first responders, and countless others impacted by the events of that day.
Members of the Buchanan County Honor Guard presented the colors and shared information about the fire service’s history and traditions. Students and staff also observed the ceremonial ringing of the bell, joined together for the National Anthem, and watched a presentation reflecting on the events of September 11th. The ceremony concluded with Amazing Grace played on the bagpipes.
Starmont was honored to host the Buchanan County Honor Guard and is thankful to its members for giving students the opportunity to learn, remember and reflect.
