The Delaware County chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace is hosting its next Bed Build this week.
Chapter President Keith Kramer says this program has delivered five hundred beds to kids who don’t have one since it first started six years ago.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace provides a bed to kids in Delaware County who don’t have their own – whether they’re sharing a bed, sleeping on a mattress or couch, or sleeping on the floor.
Kramer says in addition to a new bed, Sleep in Heavenly Peace also provides a new mattress, sheets and pillows.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace will be hosting their next Bed Build this Wednesday, with the goal to build 50 beds.
Kramer says it’s rewarding to be able to deliver those beds.
Wednesday’s Bed Build will begin at 9 am at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Manchester. Everyone of all ages and skill levels is welcome to help.
