Hegland Appointed to Fill Manchester City Council Seat

Manchester has a new city council member.
Joe Hegland was appointed and sworn in last week during a special city council meeting and work session. Hegland is filling the At-Large seat left vacant by Bryan Gray, who resigned in late July due to health issues.
Hegland, who ran for the State Senate in 2024, welcomed the opportunity to serve.
The City of Manchester says nine residents applied for the vacant seat. Hegland says he’s honored to have been chosen from a great pool of candidates.
Hegland talks about his priorities moving forward.
Hegland will fill the Manchester City Council seat through the end of 2027.
