Renovations Underway at Manchester’s Baum Park

One of Manchester’s city parks is getting a facelift.
Baum Park, which sits north of East Main Street on the way out to the fairgrounds, is seeing some major renovations, with the shelter project now underway.
City Parks and Rec Director Doug Foley:
Baum Park was one of the areas damaged by the EF1 tornado that moved through Manchester on March 31, 2023 – destroying the shelter, damaging the playground and downing a handful of large mature trees.
Foley says there are other improvements at Baum Park too.

The flower arches were made possible by the Delaware County Master Gardeners, Manchester Vitality Endowment and several donors. Foley says they’re hoping to have all the renovations done yet this fall.
The City says the restrooms at Baum Park will remain closed for the rest of the year.
