Area residents are invited to learn more about where their water comes from at an event coming up Tuesday in Manchester.
It’s called “Drinking Water 101” and it’s being hosted by Women, Land and Legacy of Delaware and Dubuque counties. Carol Sherman serves as a committee member.
Knowledge is power – and Sherman says that goes for water too.
Chad Wulfekuhle, Water Superintendent for the City of Manchester, will share where our water comes from and how it gets to your home or farm.
Judy Joyce, the new Coordinator for the Maquoketa River Watershed Management Authority, will also speak.
“Drinking Water 101” will be held Tuesday at the Delaware County Community Center at the fairgrounds in Manchester from 6 to 8 pm, with the program starting at 6:30 pm. It’s free to attend and light snacks will be provided. RSVPs are appreciated, but walk-ins are welcome too – you can register by using the QR code which can be found on the flyer below.
