Authorities have released the names of the two people that were injured in a collision in Dubuque County on Monday night. The Sheriff’s Office says it happened at the intersection of Highway 151 and Monastery Road shortly before 5:30 pm. An investigation shows that a westbound pickup driven by 62-year old Roger Halverson of Cresco failed to yield the right of way to a southbound car driven by 30-year old Ben Meyer of Bernard and the two collided. Halverson was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Meyer was taken to a local hospital and then transferred to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Halverson was charged with failing to yield the right of way.
