In softball;

West Delaware will host Maquoketa in their home opener. The Hawks played all four of their games on the road last week and came away with a 4-0 record. Twenty-ninth year head coach Kevin Schuchmann can reach a milestone with two more wins by his team this week, closing in on 800 career victories. The Hawks open up their home schedule inside Sill Field this evening with their second WaMaC conference east division doubleheader. Fans will notice some changes outside of the playing field, Coach Schuchmann explains:

The Hawks return to the road Wednesday night at Clear Creek-Amana before the North Fayette Tournament on Friday and Saturday. All of tonight’s action can be heard from KMCH Sports with Bill Logan live on KMCH and KMCH.com starting at 5:55pm.
