HS Softball/Baseball

In high school softball last night;

The resumed contest hosted by the West Delaware Hawks went to Solon 7-4. Starting up in the top of the 3rd with no score. The Spartans jumped out in front with 5 runs in the 3rd and 4th. The Hawks put up a fight with a 3-run homer by Junior Megan Collins but it wasn’t enough as Solon was able to add to their lead and hold on. Solon the #2 team in class 4A stayed unbeaten at  18-0 with the W.  The 12th rated Hawks are now 16-5 and return to action with a road trip to Vinton taking on Vinton-Shellsburg for a WaMaC conference cross-division doubleheader. We’ll have game one live from KMCH Sports with Sports Director Jon Swisher starting at 5:55pm

The class 3A 14-2 West Delaware Hawks return to play tonight at home for a JV/Varsity non-conference doubleheader starting at 5:30pm. We’ll have coverage from the varsity game around 7:45pm with Bill Logan.
