Arlington Accident Causes Power Outage Saturday Night

004-1An accident in Arlington caused a power outage Saturday night. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says 40-year old Paul Hines of Arlington struck a utility pole while driving down Liberty Street. His vehicle rolled. Hines fled the scene on foot, but was later tracked down by deputies. He was transported to Palmer Hospital in West Union and later transferred to Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo to be treated for his injuries. The damage to the utility pole caused a power outage to a portion of the city of Arlington Saturday night. The incident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
