MILLVILLE, Iowa (AP) – Officials have approved the dis-incorporation of a tiny city in Clayton County.
The state’s City Development Board recently approved the dis-incorporation of Millville, a community along the Mississippi River with about 20 residents and few operating businesses. The dis-incorporation process began last year.
The board will handle outstanding claims against the city. Legal and historical documents will be moved to the county courthouse. Surplus tax money will be used on several costs, including street repair.
