The Kaiser company built cars from 1947 to 1955 before going out of business. Kleiner says he purchased the car in 2000 in California through his mother-in-law’s friend, who invited him to check out the car collection of a car guy he worked for.
Kleiner didn’t drive his Kaiser Manhattan in Saturday night’s cruise, but he says he’s not one of those guys who lets his show car just sit in storage either.
Kleiner is no stranger to northeast Iowa. He grew up in Dubuque and ran an auto parts store there during the 80s, so he knows the area has some unique and beautiful cars.
This was Kleiner’s first time entering the Country Cruisers Car Show.
