Manchester Businesses Burglarized; Man Arrested

jail-bars-and-cuffs1Manchester Police have made an arrest in connection to several burglaries in town this summer. Police Chief Jim Hauschild says the first burglary reports came in on May 26th. Someone had broken into the Eagles Club, damaging the business and taking items from inside. Widner Drug had also reported that someone had damaged their alarm system, though no one forced their way into the store. On Monday, Manchester Police received two more reports of burglaries that had happened during the early morning hours. Someone had broken into the Sunset Restaurant and the Blue Collar Bar, stealing and damaging items from both businesses. On Wednesday, Manchester Police wrapped up their investigation, taking one person into custody. 35-year old Thomas Smith the Third of Manchester has been arrested and charged with three counts of Third Degree Burglary, one count of Third Degree Attempted Burglary, one count of Possession of Burglary Tools and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
