Arleen Louise Wolf, 102, of Edgewood, Iowa, died on Thursday, September 25, 2014, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home. She was born on May 20, 1912, in Guttenberg, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Louise (Pupke) Muschewske. Arleen graduated with the class of 1929 from Guttenburg High School. She attended Elkader Junior College and then received her teaching certificate from Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. Arleen taught rural school in Elkport, Volga, Elkader, and Edgewood.
In 1946, Arleen was united in marriage to Douglas Edward Wolf. Together they made their home in Edgewood. After Doug passed away, Arleen moved to Maquoketa. She later returned to Edgewood and moved into Lincolnwood Assisted Living.
Arleen was an avid reader. She enjoyed music, flowers, traveling, and attending Army Reunions with Doug. She was a member of the Federated Flower Club of Edgewood. Arleen was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Arleen is survived by two nieces, Ellen (Eldon) Koch of Maquoketa, and Barbara Johanningmeier; three nephews, George Wolf, Chuck Wolf of Maquoketa and Mark (Sue) Wolf of California; five great nieces and nephews; and special friends, Fritz Kruger and Reverend Mary Green of Manchester.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doug; and her sister, Lucille Messerer.

Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2014, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Edgewood.

Interment: Eastside Cemetery – Elkader, Iowa.
