The town of Dyersville currently has nine empty store fronts, and the Dyersville Chamber is holding a special public event with hopes of getting them filled. The public is invited to tour those nine available store fronts during a Store Front Tour on Thursday night. Chamber Director Karla Thompson says maybe seeing the store buildings empty will spark an idea for a potential business.
The nine available store fronts include the former Schuster, Hentges and Valentino Collectibles buildings (all on First Avenue), the former American Trust drive-up, the Whitewater Laundromat, the former Express Employment, Webers, the former Ben Franklin Store and the old Kramer Funeral Home. The Store Front Tour runs Thursday night from 4:30 to 7. Property owners and realtors will be on hand to provide building information, and commercial lenders will also be available to answer financial-related business questions. Refreshments and maps will be available at each location.
