HS Basketball: Tuesday 12-2 Results

It was the start of the boys high school basketball season last night around the area. In Tiffin the West Delaware Hawks came back from an early deficit but it wasn’t enough in a 65-55 loss to Clear Creek-Amana. Jordan Nolz led the Hawks with 13 points, Ty Cassutt had 12, Ryan Kelley 11, Thomas Trainer 7 and John Nagel added 6. West Delaware dropped to 0-1 and will host Vinton-Shellsburg in their home opener Friday night.

The West Delaware girls improved to 2-0 with a 51-43 victory over Clear Creek-Amana at home. The Hawks were led by Senior Emily Thole who scored 18 points. The Hawks will return to road play on Friday night facing their third WaMaC West division opponent, Vinton-Shellsburg.
