The Regional Medical Center Auxiliary recently honored one of its volunteers with a special award. Jean Baus was recognized as the organization’s first “Bright Star”. The award acknowledges the invaluable work by outstanding Auxiliary members and volunteers. Baus has served as RMC Auxiliary President, Past President and Vice President in past years. She has also volunteered in the Auxiliary Gift Shop, and she’s helped with Red Cross blood drives and Delaware County Public Health clinics.
The Auxiliary also elected new officers at their fall luncheon. Serving two-year terms will be President Lou Ann Knaak, Vice President Connie Clifton, Secretary Linda Kerper, Treasurer Michele Tiemens, Gift Shop Chair Kathy Waterman, Membership Chair Sandi Roling, Historian Ardelle Brooks and Tree of Lights Chair Pat Blakesley. Joanne Kramer will serve as Past President for a one-year term. And Past President Kay Hovey and Tree of Lights Chairperson Barb Ogden will be leaving the Executive Board when the new year starts in January.
The RMC Auxiliary is looking for new members and volunteers. Anyone interested in joining and helping conduct fundraising projects to assist the hospital can contact Auxiliary Coordinator Marcia Burkle at 927-7491.
