Cindy Lee Freiburger, 57, of Delhi, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Cindy was born on December 12, 1956, in Monticello, the daughter of William and Ella Mae (DeShaw) Wernimont. She was raised and educated in the area, graduating from Maquoketa Valley High School in 1975.
Cindy was united in marriage to Dennis Freiburger on December 13, 1975, in Monticello, Iowa. Three children were born to this union. Together they farmed in Delhi area. Cindy has been employed at Palidin Attachments in Delhi.
Cindy was a long time member of St. John’s Catholic Church. She was one who loved her family and enjoyed her friends, motorcycles, and traveling.
Survivors include, her husband, Dennis Freiburger of Delhi; three children, Chevy (Maria) Freiburger of Altoona, Angie ( Jay) Britt of Delhi, and Heather (Chris Boudreau) Freiburger of Monticello; three grandchildren, Alex and Aspen Britt, and Valentina Freiburger; her parents, William and Ella Mae Wernimont of Hopkinton; and two siblings, Brenda Wernimont of Cedar Rapids, and Pat (Lou Schneider) Wernimont of Monticello.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Delhi.
Officiating: Rev. John Kremer
Visitation: 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Delhi, where there will be an 8:00 p.m. scripture service. Friends may also call 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass on Wednesday.
