Slick Roads Lead to Several Accidents in Dubuque County

police-lightsThe roads unexpectedly turned a little icy Friday morning, leading to several accidents around the area. In Dubuque County, deputies responded to eight accidents within a three-hour period Friday morning. Two of the accidents resulted in injuries. The Sheriff’s Office says 18-year old Devon Frank of St. Olaf was transported to the hospital after his car spun sideways on Highway 52 and was struck by a southbound car driven by Ron Schultz of Holy Cross. And a Dubuque driver was injured when he lost control on Highway 61 and rolled his vehicle. 33-year old Charles Grau was transported to Finley Hospital. Both accidents remain under investigation. Authorities remind drivers to slow down when the roads are slick and to use their headlights when visibility is low.
