Rural Arlington Couple Charged with Neglecting Livestock

032A rural Arlington couple has been charged with neglecting their livestock. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says 50-year old Duane Landis and 49-year old Margaret Landis face simple misdemeanor charges of Livestock Neglect and Failure to Dispose of Dead Bodies. The charges stem from an investigation that began October 9th when deputies executed a search warrant on the Landis property. At the time, five horses were removed from the property. The Sheriff’s Office worked with the couple to make sure carcasses found on their property were properly disposed. (Photo courtesy of Fayette County Sheriff’s Office)
