The Delaware County Fair has been named one of several Blue Ribbon Fairs in Iowa. The honor came over the weekend at the State Fair Convention. Fair Board President Al Boge says every year, one fair is chosen from each of the six districts in Iowa for going above and beyond. The Delaware County Fair was honored this year for its recent improvements, including the fairgrounds’ new show ring facility and the new horse barn. The honor also acknowledges the Delaware County Fair Board’s efforts in hosting the Linn County Fair’s 4-H judging contests last year after the threat of floodwaters caused the Linn County Fair to close down. This is the first time in fourteen years that the Delaware County Fair has been named a Blue Ribbon Fair.
