Kenneth J. “Kenny” Brockling 34, of Cedar Falls, Iowa and formerly of Independence, Iowa died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at his home in Cedar Falls, IA.
Kenny was born n January 25, 1980 in Independence, Iowa the son of James G. and Jean A. (Price) Brockling. He attended the St. John’s Elementary School and graduated from the Independence High School in 1998 and received an Associate of Science Degree and a heating and cooling certification from Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, IA. He was employed with the Iowa Wall Sawing Company where he got to work with his best friend Denny Horn.
Kenny was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed Remote Controlled Cars. He loved his family, and on many weekends he would come home to help his father around the house.
He is survived by his parents Jim and Jean Brockling, Independence, IA, a sister Diana (David) Christiansen, Woodinville, WA, a brother Tim Brockling, Dubuque, IA, and six nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Independence, IA, with Rev. Don Plamondon officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Independence, IA. Friends may call from 3 to 7 PM Sunday, and from 8 to 10 AM Monday at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence, IA.
