HS Sports: Thursday Night Slate

By Jon Swisher-Sports Director:

The first of two WaMaC conference East division meetings for the West Delaware and Western Dubuque boys’ basketball teams will take place tonight in Epworth. The Bobcats will enter play with a 8-2 overall mark and a East division record of 4-2, good for a 3-way tie in first place. The Hawks are 6-6 and in a 4-way tie for fourth place with a record of 3-3. Hawks head coach Matt Uthoff says it has been a tough conference race already that was expected and will only get more interesting as the season rolls along:

UTHOFF1 1-15

Veteran Bobcat head coach Dennis Geraghty echoes those thoughts:

GERAGHTY1 1-15

The Bobcats won all three meetings last season. We’ll have live coverage from KMCH Sports tonight on KMCH and KMCH.com with Sports Director Jon Swisher and Corey Coates starting around 7:30pm.
