Castle Theatre has been under new management for the past few months, and the transition has been a smooth one. Lisa Landers took over as the new manager of Manchester’s historic movie theater last fall after moving back to the area from Atlanta, Georgia.
Landers has taken over the day-to-day responsibilities from Al Remling and former manager Kelly Stogdill. She and the Castle Theatre Board members are trying to build upon all the great work so many people have already put forth in the past several years.
Castle Theatre, which operates with the help of volunteers, stays busy on a nightly basis, with the featured movie of the week shown every night at 7 o’clock. This week, the theater is showing the highly-anticipated and Oscar-nominated movie “American Sniper”. And Landers says they’ll continue to bring in a variety of top-notch movies.
The Manchester Chamber Ambassadors stopped by last week to meet Landers and check out some of the behind the scenes features, including the theater’s digital projector.
