Edgewood Community Supports Business Destroyed by Fire

20150218_102344It’s been nearly three weeks since an early morning fire destroyed a well-known Edgewood business. Edgewood Auto and Tire and Edgewood Saw and Supply lost their building that cold Friday morning on February 6th, but Tracy Schroeder, who owns the business with her husband Toby, says they are determined to rebuild.

The front facade and east side of the building remained standing after the fire was extinguished that day, but most everything else laid in a pile of charred black rubble. Fire officials have been working to determine the cause of the fire. Tracy says security cameras have revealed that the fire started in the southeast corner of the building.

The Schroeders had just arrived in Mexico for a vacation when they received news of the fire. Tracy says she appreciates the support from everyone in the Edgewood community who came to their aid that day and the days that have followed.
