
Governor Terry Branstad was in Manchester Tuesday afternoon to visit Rockwell Collins. The governor told KMCH News Director Janelle Tucker he was very impressed with the company’s operations.
Governor Branstad spoke to a group of Rockwell employees and community leaders, and he was given an explanation and short video presentation of the types of products the Manchester plant makes. Plant manager Mya Murphy says the employees are very proud of what they do.
The governor says they try to do everything possible to support local industries on the statewide level.
Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds is also working on efforts with STEM to encourage the next generation to move into the areas of science and technology.
Murphy says the governor’s visit to Rockwell Collins’ Manchester plant was very much appreciated.
