We are saying goodbye to someone special here at KMCH this week. Longtime station manager Jackie Coates is retiring after 23 years with the radio station. Jackie has been here since the very beginning – she started as an account executive two weeks before KMCH went on the air on December 5th, 1991. She was quickly named Local Sales Manager and eventually Station Manager. Station owner and president of Delaware County Broadcasting Jim Coloff says Jackie will most definitely be missed.
Jackie’s husband, Warren, has also been an active member of the staff, serving as a part-time technician and engineer. Jackie says it’s been an awesome journey for them both.
KMCH Sales Manager Sarah Meyer will take Jackie’s place as Station Manager. Jackie’s last day is this Friday… and a Business After-Hours/retirement party in her honor will be held tonight at Pin Oak in Manchester from 4 to 6 o’clock.
