The sizzling summer days of July had a little less heat to them than normal this year… Manchester only had two 90-degree days last month (both came during the Delaware County Fair, by the way) and State Climatologist Harry Hillaker says the lack of heat was something seen statewide.
Some of the cooler weather was a result of rain clouds over the state.
Manchester’s rainfall for the month was a little lower than usual, receiving around two-point-three inches total. Hillaker says early projections are for August to be a little cooler than normal. We’re expected to be in the 70s for the rest of the week. (Contributions by Radio Iowa)
