The West Delaware Hawks are getting ready for their week two meeting with Maquoketa tonight in Manchester. For the first time on Brown Field in front of the home crowd for the first in the season after a week one road win over Western Dubuque. The Hawks offense exploded and set the offensive total yards mark with 590 against the Bobcats, senior running back Coy Rousell became the all-time Hawk Football leading rusher. Twelfth-year head coach Doug Winkowitsch was pleased with the total team effort but knows there is plenty room for improvement:

Our area online and playback game of the week takes place in Delhi. Maquoketa Valley has a short turnaround from their week one game that was made up earlier in the week on Monday night, the Wildcats host highway 38 rival, Monticello. Both teams are 0-1. Because of the heat and safety for players, school officials have moved back the Fr/Sop. contest to 6pm this evening in Delhi.
