Camp Courageous Raffling Donated Car

Camp Courageous has received a very special donation. The camp was recently given a car – a 1966 VW Cabriolet – by Michael Verst of Union, Kentucky in honor of his late wife, Karen Verst. Camp Director Charlie Becker says the car was a labor of love that took eight years for Verst to complete.

As Becker said, Camp Courageous plans to raffle off of the car at next year’s Pancake Breakfast. Raffle tickets cost 25 dollars, or you can buy two for 40 or three for 50 dollars. Tickets are available by contacting the camp or going online to campcourageous.org. And don’t forget – Camp Courageous will hold this year’s Pancake Breakfast on Sunday morning from 8 to noon, with live music, train rides and fun for the kids.
