West Delaware Celebrates Homecoming

West Delaware is celebrating Homecoming this week… After a week of dress-up days and activities, the school week wrapped up with the annual Homecoming parade through Manchester. This year’s Grand Marshal was Wilma Billhorn of Manchester. Billhorn, who has served as a paraeducator at West Delaware for seven years, tells KMCH it was a honor.

This year’s West Delaware Homecoming King and Queen, Jacob Gasper and Bridget Hoffman, were honored in this year’s parade, along with the 2014 Homecoming King and Queen, Austin Monaghan and Katie Scherbring. And even West Delaware’s 1990 Homecoming King and Queen from 25 years ago were recognized in the parade, with Shelly Thoman Friedersdorf and Jamie Recker returning for the festivities. And at tonight’s West Delaware football game, the Honorary Captain will be Rick Hilby, a record-holder from the 1991 West Delaware State Champs football team. You can listen to the West Delaware/Charles City football game live on KMCH and kmch.com. Check out photos from today’s Homecoming parade below! (Photos by Janelle Tucker, KMCH)
